Jonathan knows GEAR UP Works. Jonathan was not supposed to go to college with an absent father, mother in prison, domestic violence, poverty, migrant and other "at-risk" factors.
But in 7th grade Jonathan went on a trip with an organization called GEAR UP. There Jonathan captured a VISION that he could some day go to college. Jonathan's life changed and he became incredibly committed to College & Career Readiness. Going from average student to Honor Society in just a few months.
Just 1 Year later Jonathan's mom was incarcerated and he became a combination of homeless and migrant.
Had it not been for GEAR UP that would surely have been the end of Jonathan's DREAMS.
